Actors School USA

Hello Everyone!
I hope you all are having a great week so far! I am super excited to tell you all about a new IMPROV class that I will be taking on Monday!
I have been taking classes regularly now with the Actors School USA out of Nashville Tennessee. The school is run by the infamous Alan Dysert "Over 20 million people in the US know Alan Dysert as Sean Cudahy from the ABC soap opera, All My Children. Alan's five year portrayal of that devious yet humorous cad landed Alan on the cover of People magazine and made him a regular guest on such shows as Regis and Kathie Lee, Sally Jessy Raphael, The Merv Griffin Show, and a co-host of The Mike Douglas Show. Alan has also been seen nationwide on primetime television, in film, and in national commercials."
So as you can imagine, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from Alan and his associates, as he often brings in HUGE name casting directors, acting coaches, as well as famous actors, such as David Keith

I cannot wait to attend my next class this coming Monday night! This class will be my introduction to IMPROV!

Acting Lesson's with Melissa Skoff

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with one of the best acting coaches and casting directors in the USA, Melissa Skoff.
During her vast career in feature and TV casting, Melissa helped establish the careers of many of today's biggest stars including Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Lauren Graham, David Spade, Harry Hamlin, Jon Lovitz, Catherine Bell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and B.D. Wong , just to mention a few. Her keen eye for talent along with her enthusiasm and persistence has helped many successful actors launch their careers.
I feel completely blessed to have had the opportunity to learn from such a seasoned acting coach and director.
During her class I learned so much, that I now have a amazing confidence in myself, that I could walk into any audition and take the role!
During Melissa's class, students were broken down into pair's and asked to act out scene's from movies/tv shows that Melissa has casted for. After doing run through's for the scene Melissa gave wonderful constuctive criticism on how to improve each action, each look, and each word, just by making very small and simple changes.

Thank you Melissa for taking the time to come to Nashville to share your knowledge with us! I cannot wait until my next audition so that I may put my new techniques to work!

Hello Everyone

Hello everyone~
Let me first start off by telling you a little about myself! My name is Amanda Bealmear, and I am from a small town in Kentucky, located about 30 miles outside of the infamous Nashville Tennesee-the country music capital of the world!
I am an aspiring actress, that is just getting started!
I have always loved being a performer. I participated in many plays and theatre performances throughout my childhood and high school years. However after graduating I fell into the normal role of attending college and aquiring a job! Therefore my dreams and aspirations had to be put on hold.
I work everyday at my desk job in my home town and recently I had a realization that my life was not heading where I had once dreamed it would.
So.....I set out several months back to start working every day towards achieving my ultimate goal in life.....to be a performer....to star in films....and to achieve something greater with my life!
As an actress I have already participated in several projects such as music video's, however, I am wanting to branch out to feature films, commercials, and TV.

This blog will be my own personal diary and I work day in and day out to achieve the goals that I seek.
I will need all the support and encouragement I can get, because this will be a very long journey for me!

I will leave weekly, if not daily, post's about my continous journey!
